And be aware that there are many schools that display the IKO logo on their website but do not provide the certification. So make sure to check which school you choose!

What's IKO?

IKO stands for International Kiteboarding Organization. After completing a lesson package, you can obtain an IKO Certificate through us. Think of it as getting your driver's license for kitesurfing. Once you have mastered the basic skills, we can issue a certificate.

If you want to see what is covered in the lessons, feel free to download the PDF next to this. With a 3-day course, for example, you will go through steps 1A to 2L.
Sometimes it turns out that you have a natural talent for this sport, then we may take a few extra steps for you.

Work as an IKO instructor

Do you think it would be fun to teach kitesurfing and share the stoke? Then we are looking for you! Anyone can apply, and if you can kitesurf well, we will quickly train you to become an instructor. Do you already have an IKO or VDWS certificate? Even better—you can get started right away!
