OUR LOCATIONS

A good kitesurfing location is essential for a proper kitesurfing lesson. Firstly, for safety reasons. Secondly, a good location also helps to teach you how to kitesurf independently as quickly as possible. A good kitesurfing lesson location should have enough space to prepare and set up your kitesurfing equipment.

An important rule is that you must have a distance of at least three times the length of your lines from obstacles on the beach. In the Netherlands, there are various kitespots, the best locations, suitable for this. The kitesurfing school provides lessons at these kitespots and can teach you to kitesurf safely and responsibly there.

LOCATIONS OF LESSONS

Choose your desired location when booking your lesson.

Kijkduin: Flat water, no currents, no waves, a bit busier location, but perfect for beginners. Meeting point is at the parking lot near the kiteschool bus.
Scheveningen: Location at sea with waves, the only kiteschool at the beach, so there’s plenty of space. All facilities are available, such as restaurant, showers and toilets.
With most wind directions, we have a good location. Southwest, West, Northwest, North to Northeast.

The very best kitesurf spots in the Netherlands

Kijkduin is the very best kitesurfing location to learn how to kitesurf. This spot has flat and shallow water, without large waves or strong currents, allowing you to stay focused on the kite's position and improving your kitesurfing technique. A spot with shallow water has the advantage that you can always stand. This provides a safe and comfortable feeling during the first phase of kitesurfing. Once you gain confidence and control of the kite, we will of course teach you to kitesurf in deeper water as well. You’ll learn all of this in the multi-day lesson packages offered by our kitesurfing school. That way, you’ll eventually become an independent and self-sufficient kitesurfer!

Learn to kitesurf at sea

In Scheveningen, we have a location for learning to kitesurf on the sea. There, you will learn all kitesurfing techniques for in the ocean. You will learn more about tides, currents, and other aspects of the sea. You can start your very first kitesurf lessons here, or begin after you’ve taken your initial lessons in flat and shallow water. It all depends on how you prefer to learn kitesurfing and where you ultimately want to kitesurf the most.
